Time for a Mystery Skulls Animated update!
For the screenshot/animation this month, we got a heroically running Vivi. Hopefully she headed somewhere cooler and out of the summer heat.

ooooh, The Quiet Year is a really neat tabletop game!! i suppose its less roleplaying (though there is a bit of that) and more of a worldbuilding, storytelling, map drawing game.
across the span of the game you build a community who has just fought off a threat called The Jackals, and now, unbeknownst to the community, you have one quiet year to rebuild before the Frost Shepherds (an undefined threat) arrive.
the gameplay involves drawing cards from a deck of cards organised into its suits (each suit representing a season) and answering the prompts that shape the story of the community, and almost always drawing something small on a shared map to represent the struggles and developments of the community.
there's no DM and it is meant to be played in one session (though my group took 2 at first just bc we were learning and shy abt contributing ideas) and you end up with a neat map at the end that represents the story of your community. i also never felt like my lack of drawing ability held me back from having fun because u only have to make small doodles that vaguely represent things.

Ooh, hell yeah! I’ve always had a soft spot for no-GM, world/history building kinds of games. Sounds neat!
